This week we focused on places, people, and services in our community. On Monday we made community maps that included the places we each thought to be most important in a community.

On Tuesday we took a walk around Horie and spotted all the different places and things in our community. We took pictures of the different kinds of buildings we saw, then made a poster for our classroom. 

On Thursday we wrote thank you letters to the local police station, fire station, and hospital.

 Then, on Friday we walked to the post office and mailed our letters. 

On the way back we had fun playing with the leaves in the park!
